We have a variety of special interest groups including:
Walking Group: (Led by );
Very informal and relaxed - they are walks, not route marches!
We meet on varying days, once a month.
The walks are usually 3 to 5 miles long, ending at a pub or coffee shop for lunch or just a coffee, and we always try and car share where possible.
All members of the group are welcome to lead a walk or suggest one.
Check the Calendar page or the newsletter for future dates and routes.

Book Group: (Led by Sue N)
The Book Group meets the second Monday of each month at the Con Club, 7.30pm.
Books are selected based on members recommendations/suggestions and we order and collect these in advance for you from the library so that you don't have to worry about getting copies of the books.
We have read an interesting array of books since we started the group and the great thing about the book group is it challenges you to read authors that you wouldn't normally select yourself.
New members are always welcome - either come along to our meeting or contact Sue through [email protected]

Craft Group: (Led by Ann Br)
The Craft Group meets every Thursday in the Atlas Club, Foundry Lane (membership of the club, £10 pa)
Generally we work on our own individual projects each week although we have tackled group projects (the commemorative WWI banner and knitted Trauma Teddies for the Emergency Services) which we are very proud of!
The group is a friendly bunch and the level of skill ranges from experts to beginner. Members are happy to give advice and it is lovely to see the quality and variety of projects that the group works on. There's a subsidised bar in the club and plenty of chat. It's a relaxed environment and there is no pressure on you to attend every week - just come along as it fits in with your schedule!
